Description
A familiar palm in northern New Zealand. Well suited to coastal conditions and considerably more tolerant to wind and salt than many other feather-leaved palms.

Lord Howe Island
Form and size
Solitary palm to 10m.
Preferred habitat
Outdoors with protection from wind. Looks best if grown in groups and in sheltered gullies. Water well in summer. Also suitable for indoor use tolerating low light.
